Product Line:
OFS server
Resolution:
To run OFS Server as a service follow the steps below...
- Install the OFS Server on the PC
- Run the ofsservice.bat file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\OFS\Server
note: with OFS Server V3.63 SP3, the batch file is not created automatically with the installation of the server. You must create it manually in the
C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\OFS\Server directory. To create the batch file, create a new text document and rename it to ofsservice.bat then edit the file and enter the command
"regofsservice /true" in the file and save the file.
3. Check to make sure the service is created as shown below. You can change the startup mode to automatic and start the service
4. The server must be setup in the DCOM configuration. Type in dcomcnfg in the search on the tool bar to enter the DCOM configuration. Look for the Schneider-Aut OPC factory server, right click and select properties
5. Under the general tag, select Connect as the Authentication Level
6. Under the Identity tab select this user and enter the login user credentials then select apply and ok
