PME - Management Console error "There was no endpoint listening"

Issue

Management Console doesn't open and shows "There was no endpoint listening at http://servername/23102/CoreServicesHost/InternationaIization/InternationaIizationService that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details."

Cause

There is more than one server name listed in the ApplicationModules Inventory.ApplicationServer table.

Resolution

*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*

1. Log into SQL Server Management Studio > Databases > ApplicationModules > Tables, then right-click on Inventory.ApplicationServer > Edit Top 200 Rows.

2. Copy the correct server name (in this example: SERVERNAME)

3. Edit the Name for ServerId 2 to a random name.

4. Paste the correct server name into the Name column for ServerId 1.

5. Run the following script to delete the extra entry:

USE ApplicationModules

DELETE FROM Inventory.HostedService

WHERE HostID IN (SELECT HostID FROM Inventory.Host WHERE ServerID > 1)

DELETE FROM Inventory.Host WHERE ServerID > 1

DELETE FROM Inventory.ApplicationServer WHERE ServerID > 1
