When over sized selection of ATS22 is mandatory. How to do oversize selection.
The Altistart 22 rating is limited to 3.5 IcL. IcL is the nominal current of the Altistart 22. If the application requires a
higher rated starting current (> 3.5 IcL), the soft starter must be oversized.
Do oversize selection as below.
Motor maximum starting current <= 3.5 ICL with
- Class 10 protection motor (Max. starting time of 16 seconds) than nominal size of starter as per nominal motor current (FLA)
- Class 20 protection motor (Max. starting time of 32 seconds) than oversize starter by one rating as compare to nominal motor current (FLA)
- Class 30 protection motor (Max. starting time of 48 seconds) than oversize starter by two ratings as compare to nominal motor current (FLA)
