While lost communication with RTU on DNP3 and resume the communication backfilling the data in the trend graph by using SCADA PACK RTU by DNP3 Protocol
This is the inherited feature of DNP protocol that you can enable the event logging in the RTU or in other logging device when there is
a communication loss between SCADA and RTU. In this case RTU log the value of data linked with time to log the certain samples.
All the DNP Client will have the feature to retrieve the logged information from stored events as soon as the communication gets established
again. Similarly Vijeo Citect is having this feature also there is no such limitation with Vijeo Citect. There are certain parameters which will have
to setup in Citect INI parameter file retrieve those logged event in Trend graph automatically. These parameter are as follows:
[DNPR]
Autounsolicitedenabledefault = 1
EventPollPeriodDefault = 2
EventPollRatioDefault = 1
EventProcessingEnable = 1
ProcessTrendEvents = 1
Refresheventsonstartup = 1
Timeout = 10000
Apart from above parameter you will have to make sure that the data point you are trying to poll as variable should have the events value saved with
time stamp in RTU or other logging device. Also the time stamp in SCADA and RTU should match to restore the events in trends.
