Issue
Web Designer application does not work after updating the Unity application.
Product Line
TSXWMY100, 140NWM10000, BMXNOE0110
Environment
Windows 7, Windows 10
Resolution
The Web Designer application in the module does not work correctly after a change
in the Unity application is downloaded to the PLC.
The reason why the issue occurs is because the signature of the Unity application that was used to
create the 'Variables' table for the PLC service in the 'Factroycast HM'I application, does not match the
signature of the Unity application in the PLC. Whenever a logic or configuration change is made to the
Unity application in the PLC, the signature also changes.
When Unity symbol file is imported into a Web Designer application, the file signature is saved in the
'Factorycast HMI' application. The signature gets transferred to the module as part of the application.
If the signature in the module does not match with the Unity application in the PLC, the 'Factorycast HMI/
Web Designer' services may not function correctly.
To resolve the issue:
- Open the 'Factorycast HMI' application.
- Open the 'Variables' table for the PLC service.
- Click on 'Import 'PLC Symbols'.
- Select the updated Unity application (.stu).
- Click on the 'Open' button.
- Save the changes.
- Transfer the the application to the 'Factorycast HMI' module.
