The potential problem of a very long resistor cable is to make an inductance. Then the switch of the resistor current could make some overvoltages to the transistor of the product.
On the other hand, the resistance of the cable could be higher than the braking resistor in such a case !
So, it is better to take care about the section of the cable to have a low resistance value.
However, It is possible to use up to 50 Meter Distance between Braking Unit and Braking resistor, but take care following:--
