The maximum distance between M580 plc and last extension drop should be less than 30meters .The maximum Extension cable length is 12m. Refer the below mentioned part references of cable.

BMXXBC008K = Backplane extension cable 0.8M

BMXXBC015K = Backplane extension cable 1.5M
