In a Modicon M580 local drop, the maximum number of BMX ERT 1604T modules depends on the local drop CPU type and the maximum number of Expert channel supported. A BMX ERT 1604T module is counted as 4 expert channels.
Maximum 25 BMXERT1604T module can be configured on M580 Local rack on EIO Network depending on the type of CPU .

For Example:

BMEP581020 = Expert channel supported = 36 /4 = 9 ERT module.
BMEP582020 = Expert channel supported = 72/4  = 18 ERT module.
BMEP582040 = Expert channel supported = 72/4  = 18 ERT module.
