In ClearScada, while connecting to Server Status or Configuration from the Server Icon, getting message ‘Failed to connect to server, no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it’.
This message comes when the Default Server Port (i.e. 5481) doesn’t match with what is configured in Server Configuration (Server Configuration > Global Parameters > Advanced > Server Port).
Below is the work around:
  • Open and Logon to the ViewX Client, Under Home Tab, Click Status and check the Port set under Node Tab (LocalHost:5481).
  • After that open the ‘Configure Connections’ (Start Menu > Schneider Electric > StruxureScada Expert > ClearScada > Configure Connections). Go to Properties > Advanced > Set the Server Port to 5481 and save this configuration.
