BACnet alarm is created as part of the process of creating an algorithmic alarm for a monitored variable. Below is the procedure for the same:
1. In WorkStation, in the System Tree , expand BACnet Interface and then select Application.
2. On the File menu, point to New and then click Alarm.
3. In the Create Object wizard, in the object type list, select BACnet Alarm.
4. In the Name box, type a name for the alarm.
5. In the Description box, type a description for the alarm and Click Next.
6. In the BACnet basic settings page, in the Instance ID box, choose one of the following options:

3. In the Create Object wizard, in the object type list, select BACnet Alarm.
4. In the Name box, type a name for the alarm.
5. In the Description box, type a description for the alarm and Click Next.
6. In the BACnet basic settings page, in the Instance ID box, choose one of the following options:
- Click Automatically generated to have the EcoStruxure BMS server generate a BACnet instance ID for you.
- Click Manually entered if you want and then enter an Instance ID yourself.
