Letter "P" in MiCOM P127 relay appears in display; what is the significance

The programming mode is indicated with the letter "P" on the right hand side of the display on each menu heading. The letter "P" remains present as long as the password is active (5 minutes if there is no action on the keypad).This will initiate after relay password entered.
