When the BACnet/IP controller is powered up, it undergoes a process to determine the IP address settings it needs for IP communication. This helps minimize the time required for the module to fully boot to normal operation.
NOTE: For convenience during engineering and initial commissioning, you can directly connect the BACnet/IP controller to a laptop computer.
