How EcoStruxure Building Operation Servers communicate with each other and the WorkStation.
EcoStruxure BMS servers can use three different communication protocols:
TCP is fast and you can set up domain authentication which makes for easy, yet secure access.
HTTP is slower than TCP but better for accessing resources outside the LAN/firewalls.
HTTPS is slower than HTTP but safer for accessing resources outside the LAN/firewalls.
Each EcoStruxure BMS servers listens on three communication ports, one for each communication protocol:
TCP on port 4444 (fixed)
HTTP on port 80 (default)
HTTPS on port 443 (default)
WorkStation Communication to EcoStruxure BMS servers);
HTTP - Non-binary, port configurable, default 80
HTTPS - Encrypted supporting TLS 1.2, port configurable (default 443)
