How EcoStruxure Building Operation Servers communicate with each other and the WorkStation.

EcoStruxure BMS servers can use three different communication protocols:

TCP is fast and you can set up domain authentication which makes for easy, yet secure access.

HTTP is slower than TCP but better for accessing resources outside the LAN/firewalls.

HTTPS is slower than HTTP but safer for accessing resources outside the LAN/firewalls.

Each EcoStruxure BMS servers listens on three communication ports, one for each communication protocol:

TCP on port 4444 (fixed)

HTTP on port 80 (default)

HTTPS on port 443 (default)

WorkStation Communication to EcoStruxure BMS servers);

HTTP - Non-binary, port configurable, default 80

HTTPS - Encrypted supporting TLS 1.2, port configurable (default 443)
