Problem:
When opening up a project, a user might notice that there is no way to access the SCADAPack x70 Logic Editor, despite being sure that the project contains a logic component. There is no "Open Logic Editor" button.
Solution:
Starting with RemoteConnect version 3.2.2, the software comes with a Maintenance Tool version. It is a smaller download and simpler install to allow a technician in the field to upload and download a project to an x70 controller but does not allow the user to make changes to the logic or changes to objects that might affect the logic
From both the Start Menu, and when opening RemoteConnect, there is no immediate indication that it is running as a Maintenance Tool. Please go to the question mark icon and select About... to confirm if it is the Maintenance Tool
The user may have downloaded and installed "TBUM250348 RemoteConnect Maintenance Tool Rx.y.z.zip" where x.y.z indicates the revision number. If a user has downloaded the Maintenance Tool, they will need to download the full version if they wish to use the Logic Editor and make changes that might affect the logic.
Alternatively, the full download "TBUM250347 RemoteConnect and SCADAPack X70 Utilities Rx.y.z.zip" contains both the full version and the Maintenance Tool version of RemoteConnect. During installation, the user may have inadvertently selected the Maintenance Tool installation.
The user will need to install the full version along with Control Expert in order to use the Logic Editor and make changes that might affect the logic.
