1. With PACTware® software and the CFT34A DTM:

While having an online connection to the transmitter, navigate to Start > Setup > Device > Special Functions > Expert Mode.

Expert mode in DTM

Select Enabled from the dropdown menu on the right and click on Execute.

2.  With the local pushbuttons:

  • Press the RIGHT arrow key (>) until Quick Setup is displayed.
  • Press the DOWN arrow key until SETUP is displayed. Press the RIGHT arrow key (>).
  • Press the DOWN arrow key until DEVICE is displayed. Press the RIGHT arrow key (>).
  • Press the DOWN arrow key until SPECIAL FUNCTIONS is displayed. Press the RIGHT arrow key (>).
  • Press the DOWN arrow key until EXPERT MODE is displayed. Press the RIGHT arrow key (>).
  • The word Disabled will be highlighted, indicating the transmitter is in edit mode. Press the DOWN arrow key to display the word Enabled.
  • Press the Return key (⏎) repeatedly until going back to Measure mode. Expert mode is now enabled.

Parameters like Flow Correction and Low Flow Cutoff are accessible only in Expert mode. Refer to the Function Tables in MI023-192; parameters marked with an asterisk (*) are exclusive to Expert Mode.
