Is it normal to have visible flash, when Aux trip unit Acti9 iMX is energized?

Yes, when Aux trip unit Acti9 iMX is energized there is an inrush current due to coil circuit. So you could have an external visible flash (refer attached image) inside its internal circuitry during its operation but that's completely normal.
