SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

Cause

Sites are included in the [ION_Network].[dbo].[Gate] table. The "type" column requires "3rd party Ethernet host." If the type column shows "Power Measurement Ethernet Device", it must be updated. This issue could have occurred after an upgrade from a previous PME version.

Resolution

*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*

  1. Run the below query and observe what appears in the type column. Keep note of what is in the "Type" column for the following step.
SELECT * FROM [ION_Network].[dbo].[Gate]

2.  To update the type, run the below query:

Update [ION_Network].[dbo].[Gate] set Type ='3rd-Party Ethernet Host' where Type='Power Measurement Ethernet Device'
