This message typically appears when attempting to establish a Secure Link communication between Control Expert 16.2 and an M580 PLC, but your PC lacks the necessary security certificates.

To resolve this issue and enable secure communication, follow these steps:

1.Open the Security Editor in Control Expert.

2. Click the Add button to insert a new certificate.

3. Choose HTTPS and enter the IP address of the M580 CPU. Ensure your PC has valid network communication with the CPU.

4. Locate the newly added certificate (it will show as "Unknown") and click Trust Certificate.

5. Once trusted, the certificate will appear as Valid in the Security Editor.

6. Reopen Control Expert and attempt communication again.

By completing these steps, you’ll be able to establish a Secure Link connection between Control Expert and the M580 CPU.
