In ATV320 drives, IPL is detected indirectly by monitoring the DC bus voltage ripple. The detection algorithm evaluates the ripple level to determine if one of the input phases is missing. The ripple threshold varies depending on:

• The drive voltage class (e.g., 200V, 500V, or 600V)
• The drive size
• The main supply voltage

For example, in the ATV320U15N4C model operating at 400V, the ripple threshold is approximately 73V.
