Can NSX toggle padlocking (LV429371T) be used as replacement of old NSX toggle padlocking (LV429371) and vice versa?

The LV429371T doesn't even fit on the old NSX front. This locking mechanism has a little "pin" that doesn't allow us to use it on the old NSX. The front face of the new NSX has a little hole on the front where this pin goes. Please refer the attached picture for more clarity.
