Do the PM8000, ION9000, and ION7400 support full-duplex or half-duplex communication?

Issue: Do the PM8000, ION9000, and ION7400 support full-duplex or half-duplex communication?

Resolution:

HEP meters (ION9000, PM8000, ION7400) for Ethernet communication have 10/100BASE-TX fast Ethernet, which runs over two pairs of wires inside a cable. One pair is used for each direction, providing full-duplex operation at 100 Mbit/s in each direction. It's by firmware and is not configurable.

For serial communication, meters have onboard RS485 2-wire which is half-duplex but if they equipped with 4-Wire RS-485 Option Module, they can communicate serially in full-duplex format.
