Description
SCF3 - Ground Short Circuit Fault
Earth fault at the output
Possible causes
- Short circuit or earth fault at the inverter output.
- Short circuit on a motor with long cables.
- Insulation fault in the motor or in the cables.
- Perform Diagnostic Test
- IGBT or Transistor Test
- Check the cables connecting the drive to the motor and the motor insulation.
- Megger motor from cables. Use at least 1000v
- Check for proper grounding
- Check distance between drive and motor
- Over 165 ft may require the use of a load reactor or filter
- Check Switching Frequency
- Lower it if possible
