How to change alarm severity for Event Notification Module
Issue
A device has an event set to a severity higher or lower than desired.

Cause
Events are assigned a default severity.
Resolution
*Warning: Take backups of any files prior to modifying them. Ensure the backups are in a location that will not be overwritten (i.e. the Desktop).
Determine what is the desired tag to have its severity.
A device has an event set to a severity higher or lower than desired.

*Warning: Take backups of any files prior to modifying them. Ensure the backups are in a location that will not be overwritten (i.e. the Desktop).
Determine what is the desired tag to have its severity.
- Open Notepad as an Administrator
- File -> Open -> navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\translators\events
- Find the device associated with the desired tag, select and open the .evt file with that device name in the notepad.
- Located the tag in notepad and change the severity that is on the same line to the desired severity.
- Save file. DO NOT CHANGE FILE NAME. The file name should be "DeviceName".evt
- After file is saved changes will take Affect.
