Issue:
Inquiry about the installed jumpers between PA/PO and PWR and +24vdc on the ATV61/71 drives

Product Line:
Altivar ATV61 and ATV71

Environment:
IP20 ATV61 and ATV71 drives

Cause:
Drives are shipped with factory jumpers should they be removed or not?

Resolution:
PO and PA jumpers normally should not be removed.  In some cases a customer may remove the PO/PA jumpers and add a DC choke in its place.
PWR and +24vdc jumpers normally should not be removed.  In some cases a customer might remove the jumper and add a normally closed dry contact for an e-stop circuit or a shutdown circuit.
