Cause
Events are assigned a default severity.

Resolution

*Warning: Take backups of any files prior to modifying them. Ensure the backups are in a location that will not be overwritten (i.e. the Desktop).

Determine what is the desired tag to have its severity.

1. Open Notepad as an Administrator
2. File -> Open -> navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\translators\events
3. Find the device associated with the desired tag, select and open the .evt file with that device name in the notepad.
4. Located the tag in notepad and change the severity that is on the same line to the desired severity.
5. Save file. DO NOT CHANGE FILE NAME. The file name should be "DeviceName".evt
6. After file is saved changes will take Affect.
