What is the firmware password to be used on EcoStruxure Automation Device Maintenance to update Modicon M340/M580 modules?
The EcoStruxure Automation Device Maintenance can be used to update the firmware of Modicon M340 / Modicon M580 CPUs and x80 Modules using the .ldx files. In this case, the EcoStruxure Automation Device Maintenance requires a Firmware Password.
- If the application has no password: enter the firmware password (default or configured).
- If the application has a password: enter both the application password and the firmware password (default or configured)
- If there is no application in the controller, enter the firmware password (default or configured).
The default firmware password is fwdownload

Default credentials used only for this Modicon M580 migration firmware V3.99:
- Device User Name: loader
- Devicepassword: fwdownload
