EcoStruxure Process Expert [2021] Control Expert does not work with Trial License
This Knowledge base explains the why user is unable to Launch Control Expert in a PC where EcoStruxure Process Expert Trial License is still valid.
As we all know EcoStruxure process Expert comes with 30 days of trial license, which means when a user installs EPE 2021 for the first time in a machine, for initial 30 days License is not required. But in the same PC if Control Expert was installed in the past, let it be older or same versions then the trial license of Control Expert License will be finished.
So, while launching the Control Expert from EPE one can face below error as shown below.
The point that needs to be remembered is that the Trial License of EPE does not consists of Control Expert License due to which one cannot use Control Expert components during trial period phase.
And the only solution is to have a EPE License of standalone Control Expert License installed in the PC.
