Issue:
User needs the GUI file for a specific firmware version when using the SAGE Offline Editor but cannot find this version available.
Product:
SAGE RTU
SAGE Offline Editor Tool
SAGE 2x00
SAGE 3030x
SAGE 4400
SAGE 14x0
Environment:
Offline configuration of SAGE RTU files requiring GUI files for specific firmware versions.
Cause:
The Offline Editor does not automatically include all GUI files for every firmware version. When a new firmware version is used, the tool prompts the user to provide the corresponding GUI file.
Resolution:
The SAGE Offline Editor remembers previously used firmware versions and their associated GUI files. When a new version is introduced, it will prompt the user to specify the required GUI file.
- Instructions for loading the .GUI file are provided on the first page of the Offline Editor (scroll down to find them).
- The .GUI file is located inside the _Firmware.tar.gz package within the Firmware Update package.
- Steps:
- Extract the .GUI file from the _Firmware.tar.gz package.
- Place the file in a folder on your laptop.
- Use the Offline Editor to point to that GUI file following the instructions.
- Once configured, the Offline Editor will remember that the specific version configuration requires the corresponding GUI file and will load them automatically.
After applying these steps, the customer should be able to successfully see the required GUI version .
