Resolution:

You will need the firmware file for the EAE version you are using. To locate the firmware file, unzip the downloaded EAE zip file.  For example : 25.0.25352.31.zip. When unzipped, you will see the firmware folder. Inside the folder you will see the firmware file for the M251.

Copy this file to the Ecostruxure Automation Device Maintenance utility package location

Select "add"  then select the TM251MDESE from the catalog. Next enter the default IP address of the M251 controller.

The default IP address of an M251 controller can be determined by converting the last 2 octets in the MAC address. The first 2 octets of the IP address is fixed at 10.10. x.y where x.y  is the last two octets of the MAC address

Example:  If the MAC address is 00.00.54.C4.F8.9A. then the IP address will be 10.10.248.154
F8 Hex = 248 Decimal
9A Hex = 154 Decimal

Next enter the login credentials. The default user and password is

User:  installer

Password:  Inst@ller

Next select "update center" and then select firmware

Select desired firmware and select "save"

Next select "Deploy" then "firmware" then "next" .
