What is an advanced motor protection relay? These are electronic devices providing additional protections, to the mandatory protections from overloads and short-circuits. As so they are always combined with motor protection circuit breakers, and configured to protect against several damageable events among supply phase failure, slight overload, locked or jammed rotor, protracted starting time, jogging or inching, under- or overvoltage, reversed phases, insulation and ground faults, underloaded motor, etc.
Like the motor protection overload relays, in case of such a fault, they deliver a powering-off instruction, either to the contactor, to the motor protection circuit-breaker, or merely a notification to the operator, or the automatic control of the industrial process.

Ranges
TeSys Deca electronic relays
Electronic relays to protect motors up to 38 A (18 kW / 400 V) and related machine components Formerly named TeSys LR97D. TeSys Deca electronic relays protect motors from locked rotor, seizure or mechanical shocks. Unlike the thermal overload relays, they do not feature a thermal memory. They have definite time characteristics with adjustable current threshold and time delay.Part of TeSysView Products TeSys Deca overcurrent relays
Electronic relays to protect motors up to 60 A (30 kW / 400 V) and related machine components Formerly namedTeSys LT47. TeSys Deca electronic overcurrent relays protect motors from locked rotor, seizure or mechanical shocks. Unlike the thermal overload relays, these relays do not have a thermal memory. They have definite time characteristics with adjustable current threshold and time delay.Part of TeSysView Products
