What is the cause of the EF2 fault code on the ATV21 and ATV212 drives?

Issue:
ATV212: EF2 Fault

Product line:
Altivar ATV212

Environment:
All models, all serial numbers

Cause:
Ground Fault on the output of the drive.

Resolution:
EF2= Ground Fault

Troubleshooting tips

Check the motor ground connections. Make sure the ground is going to the chassis of the drive.
Remove the motor leads from the drive and Megger with a 1KV Megger to see if there is a short to ground in the motor windings.
