  1. Issue
Do we need to assign variables to Device DDT type parameter of DFB in ECE V14 and Unity Pro?

For ECE V14.1, when building the application, you will find an error as below if the type of parameter defined in DFB is Device DDT and not assigned.

But for ECE V14.0 and Unity Pro, the error will not show up.
  1. Product Line
ECE V14.0/V14.1, Unity Pro
  1. Environment
M580, ECE V14.0/V14.1, Unity Pro
  1. Resolution
The answer is YES.
Though assigning a variable to the parameter of DFBs is not mandatory in ECE V14.0 and Unity Pro, it is critical for the stable running of CPU.
For ECE V14.1, R&D has improved the building principle and this error can be detected in ECE V14.1.
Since that you need to assign a variable to the Device DDT parameter of DFBs.
