Can we change the speed reference from Percentage to Hertz when in Local on ATV320?
Issue:
Change the speed reference units from percentage to hertz when drive is being controlled in LOCAL (using the embedded dial)

Product Line:
ATV320 drives

Environment:
Altivar Drives

Cause:
Drive shows Percentage when giving a speed reference while running in LOCAL mode.

Resolution:

When running in LOCAL (AIU1) using only the embedded dial on the ATV320 drive, the speed reference is set in 0-100% of the speed range programmed on the drive.

It is NOT possible to change this to show Hertz (0-60 Hz) instead of Percentage (0-100%).

It is important to confirm what Menu are we seeing on the drive.

The Home Screen (where we have the RDY Status) changes to the output frequency of the motor once we provide a run command. RDY> 0.0-60.0 Hz. This is a read only parameter.

If we hit Enter (push the dial) once we will see the Reference Menu (Ref) we push enter again and we will see the Speed Reference value displayed in 0-100% and this is a value that can be modified when in Local Mode via the dial.

If we press ESC twice we go back to the Home screen where we can see the Output frequency value in Hertz.

If the application requires to only have the speed reference in Hertz, an option can be using a Remote display.

Option 1
VW3A1101 Graphic Display Keypad
VW3A1102 Remote Mount Bezel, IP54 (or the VW3A1105 if not being mounted)
VW3A1103 Optional Cover/Door for Bezel (increases rating to IP65)

Option 2
VW3A1111 Graphic Display Keypad
VW3A1112 Remote Mount Kit IP65
Both the ATV320 VFD and the VW3A1111 keypad firmware have been upgraded to support compatibility. (6-2019)
Firmware versions required:
ATV320-  V2.9IE37
VW3A1111-  V2.0IE51
Earlier versions are not compatible.

Then choose one cable to connect the remote keypad to the VFD:
VW3A1104R10 1meter
VW3A1104R30 3meter
VW3A1104R50 5meter
VW3A1104R100 10meter
