How to Change Animation Display Colors in Control Expert

Overview
This article describes how to customize animation colors in EcoStruxure Control Expert when using Remote Connect. By modifying the Control Expert color configuration files, users can improve visibility and more easily differentiate between True and False logic states during online monitoring.
For example, users can configure:
•    False values to display in Black
•    True values to display in White
This customization helps improve readability of animated logic in Function Block Diagram (FBD) views.

  The image below shows the default FBD animation appearance before any color modifications are applied.
  
  Modify FBD Animation Colors
  To change the animation colors for Function Block Diagram (FBD):
  Locate and open the following configuration file, “FBDColors.ini”
  
• Open the file using a text editor.
  By default, the FBDColors.ini file contains the standard Control Expert color settings, as shown below.

• Modify the required color values for the desired animation states. An example configuration is shown below where:
  False state is configured as Black
  True state is configured as White
  
  After updating the file:
  •    Save the changes
  •    Restart Control Expert for the new colors to take effect
  Once Control Expert restarts, the new animation colors will be displayed in the FBD view for the corresponding logic states.
  
  Example:
  •    False state → Black
  •    True state → White
  This allows the same inputs and animations to appear with customized color behavior.
  
  Additional Information
  This method can also be used to customize colors for other programming languages in Control Expert by modifying the corresponding .ini files:
  •    LDColors.ini → Ladder Diagram (LD) colors
  •    STColors.ini → Structured Text (ST) colors
  Users can edit the available fields defined in these .ini files to customize the display colors as needed.
