The customer has a massive VIP email alert module in their VIP to send out system alarms. The email configurations are saved in each module. When customer upgrade their email server or the email configuration has to be changed, it'll be time-consuming to change them in Designer. Notepad or free editor, Notepad++, can be used to search and replace email configurations. But simply replacing the value will make the VIP node not start

Simply changing the text ionalerts@company.com with the desired email address such as PMEEmailAlert@company.com will not work, the reason is the number in the arrow bracket <#> should match the number of characters in the string. For example, ionalerts@company.com has 21 chars, and PMEEmailAlert@company.com has 25 chars,
Resolution
The replacement shall be:
Replace <21>ionalerts@company.com with <25>PMEEmailAlert@company.com
This principle applies to other configurations for the Email module.
