How can we help you today?
Can you set up the ATV630 and ATV930 Process drive to run a motor with voltage limitation?
Issue:
ATV630 and ATV930 drives to run a motor with voltage limitation

Product Line:
ATV630 and ATV930

Environment:
All

Cause:
Needs to limit the voltage coming out of the drive.

Resolution:

Hello,
Unfortunately the parameter [UCP] Voltage at constant power - which was available in ATV61/71 - doesn't exist in the ATV6xx/ATV9xx.
The only possible work around is the usage of the V/f 5-points characteristic.
Exemplary parameter setting:
[U1] = 115V and [F1] = 25Hz
[U2] = 230V and [F2] = 50Hz
[U3] = 230V and [F3] = 51Hz
[U4] = 230V and [F4] = 75Hz
[U5] = 230V and [F5] = 100Hz
Please consider that the nominal point of the motor data MUST be the last value on this V/f characteristic. The nominal motor voltage [UNS] >= [U5] and the nominal frequency [FRS] >= [F5]. The nominal speed must be calculated according to the adjusted nominal speed.
[UNS] = 230V, [FRS] = 100Hz, [NSP] = 2980 rpm.
An auto tuning function needs not to be performed. Due to the "wrong" motor data it makes no sense.
