Does the ATV680/ATV980 Drive Display the Frequency Reference When Idle?

Resolution:
Yes. By default, the ATV680 drive displays the frequency reference even when the drive is idle (in “Ready” state with the motor stopped).

If the display has been configured to show output frequency or motor current instead, it may show 0.0 while idle.  If the drive is set to display the frequency reference and still shows 0.0, verify the reference signal source. Common sources include:

  • Analog input
  • HMI (keypad)
  • Communication network
  • Preset speeds
  • Jog function
  • PID control
  • Other configured control sources
