Cause
The ALTER TABLE statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint 'FK_CategoryLog_Category'. The conflict occurred in database 'PLES_Logging', table 'dbo.Category', column 'CategoryID'

Resolution
*Warning: Take backups of any files prior to modifying them. Ensure the backups are in a location that will not be overwritten (i.e. the Desktop).
*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*


A) If historical logging is not required, delete the PLES_Logging database
1) Stop any ENM services if running
2) Open SQL Server Management Studio and connect to the instance where ENM is installed with user that has sysadmin permission
3) Expand folder Databases in Object Explorer
4) Right Click on PLES_Logging and select option 'Delete', click the 'OK' button
5) Run installer again to have database created.

B) If historical logging is required, detach the database and attach again with a different database name
1) Stop any ENM services if running, and note where the current database files are located
2) Open SQL Server Management Studio and connect to the instance where ENM is installed with user that has sysadmin permission
3) Expand folder Databases in Object Explorer
4) Right click on PLES_Logging and select Tasks -> Detach
5) Move the database files to a new location
6) In SQL Server Management Studio, right click on Databases -> Attach. Select the Add button and select the data file files in a new location
7) In the column 'Attach As' change the name of the database, click 'OK'
8) Run installer again to have new PLES_Logging database created.
