- Permissions Issues
The Local System account may not have the necessary permissions to write log files. Ensure that the user has the appropriate permissions to write to the log file directory. - Configuration Errors
The logging configuration might be incorrect or disabled in the application settings. Verify the logging configuration settings. Check the registry setting for the log location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA\ViewX\LogFileBase - Disk Space
Insufficient disk space can prevent log files from being created. Check the available disk space and free up space if necessary.
Solution
Deleting the folder and contents at C:/ProgramData/Schneider Electric/ClearSCADA/Logs and then launching ViewX (for ViewX logs) or restarting the server (for Database or driver logs) will recreate the folder with the correct permissions for the Windows user.
