Issue :

When migrating a Quantum Hot Standby to M580, why don't I see the choice of a M580 Hot Standby in the CPU choice. It only shows me the P584040, P585040 and P586040.

Solution :

Check in your Quantum application if there is a specialty task (AUX0, AUX1, Timer Events, I/O events).

Quantum task

Those are not supported by the M580 Hot Standby and that is why the UMAC tool does not give you an option for those CPUs.

The Analysis of the .ZEF file will show this.

UMAC analysis

The Quantum application must be modified to remove those specialty tasks before being processed by the UMAC tool.

Once this is done, the M580 Hot Standby CPUs will show up as a selectable option.
