What does the Connection error bit indicate in the Modicon switch diagnostic DDT indicate?

Resolution

The connection error is just monitoring the link status. If any port loses a link it will trigger the connection error. You can then look at the link status to see which port lost it's link.  You need to turn on the "Propagate connection error" in the switch configuration. It is under Diagnostics > Status Configuration > Device Status.
