Can you run a larger motor on a smaller size drive?

Resolution:
This is not recommended.  Please make sure that you size your variable speed drive to match your motor name plate current, voltage, current, and horsepower. Remember that your motor will pull more than FLA when starting. Be sure the drive you select is properly sized.
