What's the difference of BMECXM configured with RIO or DIO?
DIO drops and RIO devices are using different CPU resources.
Two configuration types have been defined to anticipate the future, in the case a lot of devices (or modules) will support the RIO profile. As the number of RIO devices supported by a CPU is limited, the customer will have the capacity to attach the most critical devices to the RIO scanner, and the other ones to DIO scanners. For your information, it was also initially planned to support the CXM with DIO profile on the NOC modules...
