Unity appears to freeze or lock up. How do I correct this condition?
This behaviour occurs when conditions as described below are present:
A laptop with an external screen is used. On Display Settings screen, inside the field Multiple displays the option Extends these displays is selected and main display is still the Laptop screen.
From Unity Pro application you open a window (e.g. Types Library Manager) and you send this window to the extended screen. Doing this you declare this screen as the one by default for this specific window.
Problem will occur when the extended screen is disconnected and then you open this specific window (still the Types Library Manager), the window is sent to a screen which no longer exists. Hence Unity Pro on your laptop, the main screen, is no more active (freezes).
Pressing the ESC key will close this window and so will unfreeze Unity Pro but won't solve the issue, each time you are going to open this window, the problem will occur.
Instead of pressing the ESC key use the combination of ATL + SPACE + M keys. Doing this it is possible to move the window from this virtual screen (not connected) to the main screen with the help of arrow keys such as left, right, up or down.
