Application migration from Scadapack RemoteConnect to Unity Pro

There is a possibility to migrate an application and code created with RemoteConnect for ScadaPack module into Unity Pro.
This compatibility from Scadapack to Unity Pro has some restriction due to modules structures.
It means that depending of the application the code migration is possible but data structure and Scada pack EF need to be rework.

The following steps have to be done because Scada pack structure and EF from Scada pack library have no sens into a Unity Pro project.

  1. From Scada types library manager, export the SCADAPack family by creating an installable family.

  1. Then in Unity Pro import the family.dcs

  1. Open the Scada Pack application with Unity Pro

The application opens in Unity Pro and the Scada pack structure (e.g. T_SPx70) need to be adapted to match with Modicon module(s) structures.
It’s the same for EF from the ScadaPack library used in the application. All these EF designed for ScadaPack needs to be replaced.
Before to build the UnityPro application make sure that all ScadaPack Structures and EF are removed.
The best way to confirm this is to reopen the new application with a Unity Pro version without the ScadaPack lib installed.
