How to connect my Control Expert client to the server ?
Before starting Control Expert Topology Manager (TM) on the client side, please follow these steps:
- Close TM on the server side.
- Open the Server Configuration.
- In the Listening Connections tab, update the Listening IP address:
- Either select the Ethernet card used to communicate with the client PC,
- Or enter 0.0.0.0 to listen on all Ethernet interfaces.
4- Apply the changes and close the configuration tool.
5- On the client side, open TM and go to User Preferences.
6- In the Networks and Servers tab, update the Control Expert Server Address with the correct IP and port:
- For example: IP = 192.168.189.1, Port = 19950.
7- Close and relaunch TM on the client side.
You should now be able to connect to the server successfully.
