Can I use Modbus RTU in TCP/UDP with RemoteConnect to Communicate to Remote SCADAPack x70 Devices?
In certain circumstances, a user may wish to use Modbus RTU in TCP or Modbus RTU in UDP protocol to communicate to remote x70 devices over a cellular network or serial to ethernet gateway. Currently there is no option for this in RemoteConnect.
The options for the PC communications DTM are listed below:
DNP3 USB
DNP3 Serial*
DNP3/TCP
DNP3/UDP
Modbus/TCP USB
Modbus RTU*
Modbus/TCP
* If using a serial connection, the logic editor is not available as the logic editor requires a TCP/IP connection
These are accessed via the PC Communication Settings - SCADAPack CommDTM
