EPE2023: Precautions to be taken for Plant Scada Licenses
This knowledgebase article explains the precautions to be taken for avoiding unnecessary loosing of Plant Scada Licenses from Aveva Enterprise License Manager. This Knowledgebase article is valid for Ecostruxure Process Expert 2023 and above.
- User wants to install new version of Plant Scada, before uninstalling existing Plant Scada Software, kindly return the Plant Scada license from Enterprise License Manager. This can avoid unnecessary risks of loosing the license.
- In case user want to re-install the same version of Plant Scada, then strictly avoid the below mentioned activities while uninstalling the Plant Scada Software.
- Do not uninstall the Enterprise License Manager components.
- Do not Delete "Aveva" folder which exists in Program Data Folder. This folder consists of License files, removing them will loose the License.
- Do not uninstall the Enterprise License Manager components.
