How to remove the head of a Harmony XB5 22mm plastic operator dialog device ?
1. What you need to know
To remove the head of a Harmony XB5 Ø22 push button, isolate the device, then use a small flathead screwdriver to lift the metal latch at the top of the mounting collar. The latch releases the mounting collar from the head, which comes away without force. No part needs to be unscrewed, and the contact blocks stay on the mounting collar - unscrew the ring nut by hand or with tightening tool (ZB5AZ905) to swap head for another color or function, keep existing wiring.
NB: Remove power from the device before starting.
2. Removal sequence
- Power off the installation
- Isolate the device and take a small flathead screwdriver.
- Locate the metal latch at the top of the mounting collar and lift it with the screwdriver.
- The mounting collar is released and dislodges from the head.
- Unscrew the ring nut to remove the head.
